Trash Information
All waste deposited at a Transfer Station must be moved to a landfill and therefore, residents are asked to take large loads directly to the landfill. Trailers trailers are accepted at the Transfer Stations. All heavy construction debris must be taken to the landfill.

Transfer Stations AddressBayfield Transfer Station is located at 4496 CR 223, about halfway between Durango and Bayfield.
Marvel Transfer Station is located at 1765 CR 134, approximately 2 miles south of the intersections with CR 100 south of Marvel.
Items not accepted:
- dirt, ash and contaminated soil;
- rock, concrete and asphalt;
- tires;
- biological waste including animals and human remains, medical waste and pharmaceuticals;
- electronics, fluorescent bulbs;
- exploration and production waste;
- asbestos-containing materials;
- recreational vehicles, mobile homes or trailer houses;
- explosives, ammunitions;
- hazardous waste, liquid waste, pesticides/herbicides/insecticides, ozone-depleting compounds (i.e. Freon from refrigerants), and radioactive waste;
- paints, stains, motorized equipment waste and motor oil.
